Consider Presenting at the Research and Teaching Forum
Thank you for registering for the CCCC Regional Conference, to be held at The University of Denver, Friday and Saturday, July 20-21, 2018. If you don’t yet have a role on the program, we invite you to participate in the Research and Teaching Forum on Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30.
Similar in form and function to the Research Network Forum and Qualitative Research Network at CCCC each year, this session will allow participants to discuss assignments, research in progress, pedagogical questions, or administrative challenges that will benefit from focused feedback from peers and senior scholars.
RTF participants will be listed as presenters in the conference program.
To apply to present at the Research and Teaching Forum, please complete this form. The deadline for submission is June 22, 2018.
Our goal is to facilitate fruitful conversation and exchange of resources in an informal and supportive setting. The committee will organize tables of 3-4 presenters (and a facilitator) based on similarity of focus/topic and diversity of experience. Although timing may vary depending on numbers, participants can expect about 20 minutes to present and discuss their work. You should take about 5 minutes to introduce your topic and concerns and allow 15 minutes for conversation. This will be a tech-free roundtable format with no projector, audio, etc. Please bring six copies of a one-page handout to represent your work and focus the discussion (yes, double-sided is fine). For example, you might bring an assignment, an issue narrative, or an abstract with specific questions for the group. Make sure to include your name and contact information as well.
